Steamed Rice

Okay, this is a link for the Sacramento folks out there. I must admit that I have, on many occasions, been guilty of beating a dead horse and deriding the Limelight Cafe on Alhambra Blvd. as “The Slimelight.” Hey, I was actually even there on one New Year’s Eve. Okay, the tag is not exactly fair, but it’s become sort of a reflex action. When anyone mentions that little area on Alhambra or when anyone so much as mentions the place, the rhetorical question is automatic: “Oh, you mean the Slimelight?” Now, I’m not the only one who does this as the article in the link below indicates. Many, if not all of my friends, refer to the place as the “Slimelight.” Now, according the the Sacramento Bee dining critic, the Limelight is doing its best to shed the unflattering nickname.
