No doubt it's my lack of green thumbyness, but when I had a container garden for apartment living my basil was so full of green caterpillars (they were EXACTLY the same color as the basil leaves so I kept on bringing them inside accidentally!) that I swore I would NEVER AGAIN attempt to grow something for human consumption. The sight of half of a caterpillar on my cutting board haunts me still.

I do echo dave's sentiment. The perfect weight of an open Sunset magazine resting on your chest lends itself to a drowsy sense of security. Before you know it, dreams of nasturtiums, Santa Barbara daisies, & lavender will drift before your mind's eye.

What sort of garden are you thinking of doing? A little bit of everything, herbs, veggies, flowers, etc.?

Plans are almost set for my arrival in Sactown. That means that I have made the decision to go. All I have to do now is buy the airfare and generally make all the plans that go into traveling. Yeah! Can't wait!

Hells yeah a garden! I really want to get into that, and have been wantin' to since first deciding to move back to California. Even if we were settled into an apartment I'd want to do a potted garden. Seems like a great hobby.
