I seem to be busy lately, but I think it is mostly in my mind. I did get a lot of yard work done this week, but the end result is hardly noticeable, except for the largish pile in the front of the house. There was just a lot of build-up of stuff that needed to be removed, so in the end it was just a lot of work to get it back to null. Had to be done, and I feel good for doing it. I’ve really been getting more interested in doing some gardening recently, or at least in having a nice garden area.
Nothing to report in baby news.
As far as consumer news goes, I did get a couple of things recently. I got a little rolling cart for a laptop that is meant to roll up to the side of a bed or chair. I have it next to my bed so I can now do all of the things I like on the computer without all of the drudgery of actually standing up. I also got a turntable that connects to my computer for digitizing some old records we have around here. I’ve only used it once so far but it seems to work pretty well. I also got a Sony dingus that lets you burn dvds instantly from a variety of input media with the plan of converting some old video tapes we have around, but other technical issues with old equipment has so far prevented me from making any use of the device. Also, after my tremendous mass destroyed the task chair I was using in my office, I upgraded to a leather multiple positionable thing that is much more comfortable.
Personal fitness and health plans are proceeding, but at a snails pace, so I won’t get into it here.
Plans are coming along nicely for Thanksgiving this year. Were you invited? Maybe you were, if you have been good this year. The theme is going to be pan-Asian with the usual American Thanksgiving twist. I am working on the menu now, and will begin testing a couple of things shortly. I have never attempted many of the items before, so some practice needs to happen for fear of tragic failure (always a threat at my meals). I’ll be putting up details as they become available over on the Eat Me section of this site.
Did I mention that I have split off the Disney site that I have been working on from this one? Well I have (not that you care). It needed its own space. It is growing toward completion, though at a slower rate than I would like. There should be some interesting things there when it is done, for those that find that sort of thing interesting. Videos, pictures, and maps will all play a role in the finished site. Stay tuned for more. If you want to check out the progress there, head to yensiDEretlaW.com. I should point out that there are plenty of other sites that do this same thing, so there is no niche to fill, and little chance that I will do as good a job as other sites already in existence, but that this is just an exercise for my own amusement.
Nothing new in the Wieland Archives as yet, but I still have plans for it, so keep checking in. At least monthly.
That’s all from me for now. How have you been?
