Richard Pryor died this morning. Though not unexpected, this is sad news. I should go watch Stir Crazy now.

(iadmit) This is sad news. Oddly enough, I was visiting a buddy last weekend and we watched some of a DVD he had of the Richard Pryor Show. Saw a skit with Pryor playing the first black president holding a press conference. Hard to imagine any network airing that sort of skit now. It was odd to watch it and then remember being a little kid and watching that skit. Also odd because almost every actor playing one of the reporters went on to bigger things: John Weatherspoon, Sandra Bernhard, Marsha Warfield, and some unknown who didn’t even get a line in the background named Robin Williams.
At least Pryor did what he could do when he could, right?
The n*gger tried to buy aluminum tubes!
