We just received this camera in the mail yesterday, and let me tell you, damn.

    Man, look at the dew drops on the flowers. Hey, I didn’t know I could go to full view in my browser. Hmmm. Need to reexamine some pictures I have.

    Damn, it does take a nice image. I might have to look into it as an option because I’m getting closer and closer to replacing my S400.

    I’m interested in obtaining a camera that will pull double duty, one of which is taking snaps of text documentation and other photos. You seem to get close enough with the tulips but how about text? Would it be too much to ask if you could shoot a photo of a newspaper or magazine? It really may be what I want.

    Please ignore previous posting. Just tried out a SD500 at comp USA. Perfect, just what I need. The secret with the marco mode is to refresh the focus by slightly pressing down on the shutter release. Never knew that; live and learn.

    I thought it would take pretty good pictures of text, especially at the higher resolutions.
